Great news for mountain biking enthusiasts! The fourth edition of the Mauritius Tour Beachcomber (MTB) will be held from the 25th to the 27th April. The event’s routes have been unveiled and registration is now open.

The Canonnier Beachcomber was the setting for a unique event on the 29th of November. Indeed, the hotel hosted a masterclass by Michelin-starred Italian chef Gianfranco Chiarini. In addition to the hotel’s kitchen brigade, led by Executive Chef Moorugun Coopen, chefs from the different Beachcomber hotels and other Mauritian hospitality establishments learnt from Chef Chiarini’s style of gourmet cuisine and extensive catering experience during his culinary demonstration.

Beachcomber Tours South Africa's best travel agents attended the Top 10 Premier Awards at the Victoria Beachcomber from the 22nd to the 25th of November. This annual event brings together the most important players in the South African travel industry and allows them to discover Beachcomber’s hotels as well as Mauritius as a destination. Their stay began on Mauritius’ northern coast, in the enchanting setting of Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa. After being welcomed by a team of attentive artisans, the travel agents were invited to take advantage of the hotel's wide range of amenities. Among other things, they indulged in the spa’s Art of Wellness experience and sampled delicious menus that emphasise local products and flavours. The more adventurous were also able to take part in water activities including boat trips and diving sessions in the beautiful Balaclava Marine Park. Finally, nature and history lovers enjoyed an electro-bike excursion to the north’s most beautiful spots, including the colonial house of Mauricia and the Château de Villebague.

The Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa – a resort beloved by families – has an exciting new space at the Kids Club. It’s the perfect spot for children from the ages of three to eleven to create immortal holiday memories in a tropical setting.

In line with the Beachcomber Collection of Hotels’ tradition, the Beautiful Cocktail served on arrival to our guests is revisited every year following an in-house competition among our Bar Artisans. For the 2018-2019 season, a bartender from the 5-star Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa has scooped the title once again. Curty Laviolette will create Beachcomber’s signature cocktail for the coming season. The fruity-fresh taste of his creation bowled over the jury at the final of the competition on 12 September.

Six Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels’ properties have been awarded the 2018 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for having consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.

The 5th edition of Ultra Trail Raidlight Beachcomber was a massive hit, with a thrilling intense weekend last 28 and 29 July. This unique ultra-trail event in Mauritius attracted over 1,300 competitors this year, including around 200 Beachcomber Artisans. There were also some of the biggest names in trail running, such as Maxime Cazajous and Marion Delas from France, who were the patron and guest star of the 2018 edition respectively.
