Jeannot Savricouty and Christophe Arcanthe – winners & creators of the signature welcome cocktail.

This year Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels has entrusted the creation of its signature welcome cocktail to Jeannot Savricouty, Bartender and Christophe Arcanthe, Assistant Bar Manager at Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa. The duo won the in-house contest (Beautiful Cocktail Competition) with a creation inspired by honey from Beachcomber hotels’ gardens, moringa leaves, citrus peels, fresh lemon juice and many other local products.

The Beachcomber collection’s welcome cocktail is revisited every year after a competition among bar Artisans. This challenge is a much-awaited event featuring amazing creativity as the Beautiful Cocktail is much more than a drink. It is the first official taste of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels, mixing up all the ingredients of a sensory story that can be shared through words, sounds and tastes.

For the 2022 edition, the aromas and rich taste of the drink created by the Shandrani Beachcomber tandem won over the jury composed of Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels’ CEO, Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, the Chief Brand & Communication Officer, Karine Perrier Curé, the Chief Operations Officer, Jean-Louis Pismont as well as Tiina Fabre and Jérôme Fabre from the Institut Escoffier, which hosted the grand finale.

Beachcomber resorts’ signature cocktail invites guests to a unique journey to the heart of the culinary traditions of Mauritius with a touch of acidity, a deliciously sweet taste and fruity notes mingled with flavours of honey and lemon. “We have created a beverage that conjures up happy moments, family holidays, sunshine and laughter. This is exactly what this signature drink will taste like!” say the duo behind the new Beautiful Cocktail.

Guests will have the pleasure of tasting the new Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels signature drink from November 2022.
