The Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa – a resort beloved by families – has an exciting new space at the Kids Club. It’s the perfect spot for children from the ages of three to eleven to create immortal holiday memories in a tropical setting.
What makes this space so unique is its high-quality safari tents, comprising canvas sheets and wooden structures, imbibing the space with a distinctively African atmosphere. The large Kids Club now has four themed Bushtec tents that are at the disposal of the younger ones: a welcome area and painting space, a media space equipped with television and music, a reading and relaxing space and a games space. Children will also enjoy the generous playground, equipped with swings and a cabana (with a toboggan perched on a filaos tree).
As part of a partnership programme with the Golf Club of Mont Choisy, the kids will also soon be able to revel in the miniature golf course designed by ex-golf professional Peter Matkovich (after his impressive golf course designs for Mont Choisy). The miniature course promises unparalleled views over the ocean; plus, it’ll only be a few steps away from the Kids Club.
The Kids Club entertainment team offers a large range of activities on a daily basis, such as pétanque, archery, treasure hunts, balloon games, pool games and so on. Some activities also allow children to discover Mauritian culture: local cooking workshops, Kreol lessons, séga sessions, walks around local towns and meetings with children who live in neighbouring villages are all available.
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is engaged in sustainability and ecologically-friendly ways of living. In this respect, the Kids Club also teaches children about the ways in which they can help the environment through a number of fun activities, such as gardening in their own organic vegetable garden, or trips on a glass-bottom boat to discover the jewels of the seafloor.
“We’ve received excellent feedback on this new space reserved for youngsters: parents appreciate the design and function of the place, which they find extraordinary. It boasts a gorgeous location that offers a large space for children. Our families are also impressed by the sheer number of activities on offer, » said Kervyn Rayeroux, General Manager of the Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa.
Built on a historical site, this four-star hotel of the Beachcomber group reopened its doors in September 2017 after an extensive renovation of its rooms and common spaces. A “Teens Club” was also created in an old lighthouse, a relic of the country’s colonial past and found at the heart of the hotel. The Club perfects the Canonnier’s familial offering.
To encourage family trips and to consolidate its position as best-in-class, the Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels group will offer as from November 2018 a unique single pricing policy. The children’s rate for most Mauritian hotels applies to children of or under 12 years old; at Beachcomber, we’re extending it to 17. Some meal plans are free for children until the age of 11 and are available and a reduced rate for those aged between 12 and 17 years old. Bespoke comfort demands a large range of rooms: our hotels offer suites, apartments or villas that are perfectly adapted to family needs, with two rooms and two separate bathrooms. Besides free access to the Kids Club, all the hotels part of the Beachcomber Group also offers a babysitting service (at a supplement). Young and old(er) guests can enjoy the beautiful resort settings that were dreamed up for you to live perfect family holidays, all together.
